Privacy notice

This notice explains how Nisindi ("we") collects and uses personal information through nisindi.com, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use our contact form: your name, work email, company, and anything else you choose to give us (role, country, the challenges you tick and your message). We also record the date you gave consent.

To stop abuse of the form, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for 30 days. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and, if you want to, continue the conversation about working together.

Website analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. It tells us which pages are visited and how, so we can improve the site.

Who processes it for us

Our website is hosted by Vercel, form submissions are stored in a database run by Neon, and emails are sent through Resend. The data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt), which has data protection law comparable to POPIA. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry for 12 months, then delete it automatically. If you become a client, your details move to our client records and are kept as set out in our agreement with you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time, or object to us processing it, by emailing hello@nisindi.com. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
